Combined Usage of Monetary Benefits

MGIBill, Ch 1606 can be used with FTA and NGSG
MGIBill, Ch 30 & Ch 1607 can be used with FTA (if not receiving the MGIB Kicker) and NGSG
   
 

Must be enrolled at least part time.

  Submission Deadlines:
  (DA Form 2171)

NGSG – 1 August for the Fall semester and 1 December for the Spring semester

FTA – Must be completed prior to the first day of class

ALL TUITION ASSISTANCE BENEFITS BASED ON AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS

   

Federal Tuition Assistance

Pays up to 100% of tuition assistance up to $250 per academic semester hour

Maximum: $4,500 per fiscal year for high school and college

(1 October – 30 September)

School must be accredited regionally or nationally.

No AWOLS, No Flags for WC or DAT

If FTA didn’t pay for your first degree we will pay for your second.
* Mandatory Requirements effective 1 April 2006: Must have a degree plan on file, statement of understanding, and grades up to date in the Education Services Office or Tuition will not be paid for.

National Guard Supplemental Grant (State Tuition)

Pays up to 100% of tuition for the Fall and Spring semesters only.

Qualifications:

Eligible upon date of entry into the INARNG and must be in good standing.
Must file the Free Application for Tuition Assistance (FAFSA) by 10 March and be edit free by 1 June of each year.
No AWOLS in last 12 months
Must be an Indiana Resident
To apply for either program log onto www.nationalguardbenefits.com and select education under the resource tab. Click “online applications” and complete the Federal Tuition DA Form 2171.
Submission Deadline: DA 2171, Statement of Understanding, Degree Plan on file and current with all grades. No AWOLS. No Flags for WC or DAT.
