DEPARTURE CEREMONY FOR INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD UNIT

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 176th Finance Detachment is scheduled to conduct a departure ceremony prior to their deployment to Iraq beginning at 1 p.m. June 4, 2006, at the Louis J. Jenn Memorial Park, 10450 E. 63rd St. A reception will take place from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by the ceremony.
All media is invited to attend.
 
The following is a tentative schedule of events for June 4:
1-2 p.m. Reception
2 p.m.  Departure Ceremony
 
Keynote speakers will include Indiana Adjutant General Maj. Gen. R. Martin Umbarger. State Command Sergeant Major Command Sgt. Maj. James M. Brown will also be in attendance.
Twenty-one soldiers from the 176th Finance Detachment will be mobilizing to Fort McCoy, Wis., where they will undergo training in preparation for deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While deployed, the unit will provide financial support within the Theater of Operation.
