Soldiers
Return from Operation Iraqi Freedom 2-150th
Field Artillery Battalion (Bloomington,
Indiana) |
INDIANAPOLIS,
Ind. – Indiana National Guard Soldiers are
scheduled to arrive home Saturday, December
23, 2006, after completing missions
overseas.
Maj. Gen. R. Martin Umbarger, the Adjutant
General for Indiana, received notification
that 150 Indiana National Guard Soldiers of
the 81st Troop Command, 2nd Battalion, 150th
Field Artillery will arrive at the
Indianapolis International Airport at
approximately 11:00 p.m., on December 23rd.
The unit is headquartered in Bloomington,
Indiana.
During their deployment, the mission for
this unit was to provide security force
operations in their area of operations, and
train the Iraqi Police.
The media are invited to cover the return at
the 38th Infantry Division Armory, 3912 West
Minnesota Street, where family and friends
are expected to greet the returning
soldiers.
We are indebted to these citizen Soldiers
and their families for the sacrifices they
made for our state and nation, and are very
happy for their safe return.
All flights are subject to change due to
aircraft availability, weather, and air
traffic control measures.
