219th Area Support Group Departure Ceremony

Edinburgh, IN. – On Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 1:00pm MG R. Martin Umbarger, the Adjutant General for the state of Indiana, will address the 219th Area Support Group at a departure ceremony at Camp Atterbury.
The ceremony will be conducted at the 219th National Guard Armory located at Camp Atterbury.
The 219th is deploying to support the Global War on Terror and Operation Enduring Freedom. The mission for this unit is to command and control assigned or attached units and to plan and direct the provision of direct combat service support to units located in or passing through the group's assigned area of operations.  This includes the control of general supply and maintenance support for those units as well.
Family members and media are welcome to attend.

We are indebted to these citizen Soldiers and their families for their commitment, as they are a superb and indispensable part of the team chosen to exhibit their skills in executing the Global War on Terrorism.
