219th Area Support Group Departure Ceremony |

Edinburgh,
IN. – On Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 1:00pm MG R.
Martin Umbarger, the Adjutant General for the state of
Indiana, will address the 219th Area Support
Group at a departure ceremony at Camp Atterbury. |
|
The ceremony will be
conducted at the 219th National Guard Armory
located at
Camp Atterbury. |
|
The 219th is deploying to support the Global
War on Terror and Operation Enduring Freedom. The
mission for this unit is to command and control assigned
or attached units and to plan and direct the provision
of direct combat service support to units located in or
passing through the group's assigned area of
operations. This includes the control of general supply
and maintenance support for those units as well. |
|
Family members and
media are welcome to attend. |

We are indebted to these citizen Soldiers and their
families for their commitment, as they are a superb and
indispensable part of the team chosen to exhibit their
skills in executing the Global War on Terrorism. |
