Tamara Spicer, (573) 638-9846, fax: 9848 e-mail: tamara.spicer@us.army.mil Missouri National Guard Press Conference – F-15 incident TIME: 1 p.m. Today LOCATION: Base Community Center, 10800 Lambert International Blvd., Lambert Air National Guard Base, St. Louis An F-15C Eagle aircraft from the Missouri Air National Guard’s 131st Fighter Wing, crashed this morning at Red Hills Military Operating Area (MOA), near Vincennes, Ind. The pilot ejected safely from the aircraft. The aircraft was conducting standard training maneuvers, as part of a four aircraft formation. The incident did not involve a second aircraft. The 131st Fighter Wing is headquartered at Lambert Field in St. Louis. Members of the 181st Fighter Wing, Indiana Air National Guard, out of Terre Haute are securing the crash site and are being supported by the 38th Aviation Brigade, Indiana National Guard. The accident is currently under investigation. |
