INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TO CONDUCT EXPORTABLE COMBAT TRAINING SCENARIOS

This is an updated press advisory to supplement the previous XCTC release posted July 18. The following events will occur on July 20 and 21.

The scenarios to be conducted on July 20 will include:

§         Area cordons and searches

§         Securing of an objective

§         Vehicle recovery operations

§         Establishment of a Tactical Control Point (TCP)

§         Convoy escorts

§         Sheik with militia demands to see the Battalion Commander

The scenarios to be conducted on July 21 will include:

§         Cordon and Search

§         Mortar Attacks

§         Reaction to Anti US protest

§         Securing of a downed aircraft

§         Conducting attacks on a built up area

§         Convoy Escort with reaction to improvised explosive device (IED)

§         Quick Reaction Force response to outside disturbances

§         Task Force Commander meets with Mayor and Sheik

Media is invited to visit during the July 19-26 portion of the XCTC in order to receive optimum exposure to the operation. All media attending Camp Atterbury events are advised to RSVP by contacting the Joint Information Center at 317-247-3300. All media attending Muscatatuck events should contact 802-346-4401.
